I watched the proceedings via the BBC. They saw right through the Murdoch's planned approach to having the son answer almost everything with generalities, and the father to sit like a tired old man who could not keep up with details.
This was setup questioning to get them on record. Details will be addressed later. They really did not like young Murdoch's refusal and evasiveness on releasing those who they paid off from their secrecy clauses so that they could share their stories with the MPs.
You don't pay out more than $600 million without Murdoch knowing about it.
The conclusion was: Someone approved it, someone did it, someone paid for it, and someone covered it up.
