big oil and big auto might not like an incentive for cng cars and trucks. big auto has yet to embrace cng cars and are perhaps still in bed with big oil, although to a lesser extent, since the bankrupt era. Given that this president has rejected the pipeline bid to build a new oil sands pipeline, perhaps he is looking to replace oil/gasoline with nat gas cars and trucks? So what do we get Democrats for nat gas and Republicans for oil?
unfortunately, democrats hate fracking and all fossil fuels. They want to move ASAP to solar and wind (and maybe a little nuke to make up the shortfall)--so forcing the price of carbon fuels up helps by making the other more competitive. SO--don't count on hearing anything from Obama on support for any fossil fuel.
