Why ECA is a trading stock

I trade ECA from both sides.

If the ALGO’s and HFT’s move in and drive up volumes I join them and go long, when they move on and volumes drop I short ECA.

ECA has lost more than 40% of its value in the last 2 years.

If you compare ECA with CHK you will notice ECA is down -3.14% and CHK is up +19.23% for the last 3 months. Management makes the difference here.

Yes ECA still owns some valuable land, but at current NG prices this land is a dead weight on the company. ECA needs gas prices above $6.00 to be profitable according their own study prepared by G.S.

There are to many clouds hanging over this stock.

Why did Eresman the CEO quit suddenly one Friday night?
Why haven’t they found a replacement?
    Why did they sell Kitimat?
Why are they being sued by investors and the State of Michigan?
Why are they pumping 2.9 billion CB feet every day below cost?
How long will they be able to pay out $600 million in dividends?
Why do they owe $7.7 billion to bank and bond holders?
Why is their credit rating barely above investment grade?
Why did they sell their office building in Calgary to H&R?
Why do they still owe $2 billion on this building?

Eresman was a great promoter, but things never worked out the way he said.

Whatever comments are made on this board will not and can not have any impact on a stock that trades 6 million shares per day.
