I would have thought the new name, new business model and Jim Nantz who replaces Arnold Palmer as company face would have created much more of a stir in the stock price and on the message boards, but apparently nobody cares!
Why is it surprise that no one cares? First of all, after more than 20 years of defending the old name, Administaff, to the sales force with "We've spent Millions marketing the name, why change it now? why did Paul decide to reverse course and spend more millions on a new name? Companies change names when they've run out of effective, original marketing ideas, or they promote the Director to Vice President. This not a company that generates excitement any more. Walk the halls at Center 1. It's pretty quiet there!
It seems fairly desperate that you would change the company name in the hope that a new name would create business & results, or an "inspiration" that had not otherwise been achieved. The ego's continue to battle with common sense.
