"A better trade/investment may be to buy the THQ convertible bonds which are trading at 50 cents on the dollar. Their CUSIP is 872443AB2. Those bonds are paying a 10% interest rate right now, but we are not entirely sure if THQ will even be able to pay off their debt at their current cash burn rate."
If it's trading at 50% discount, THQ should buy it back lol. Seriously.
Jedi, as long as the LC is in place we will be ok. Once it gets pulled or reduced it is time to get out in a hurry. I do believe that the uDraws are accounted for going forward and they will use this last qtr to clean everything up before the new and improved thq starts. Big week next week because I do expect for the first time for shorts to cover more and get out and don't see sellers at this level any more. Other than BK there is nothing else bad that I can think off and if insiders do indeed start buying it will be a positive catalyst for us. As for the CTO's when I read them it said "additional" stuff is being added to them and the fact that they were filled the day after the cc makes me wonder what these additions are.
Interesting comments on just buying the bonds as a gamble...

THQ would have been a great short for anyone who reads our Game Trader features. We have been negative on this company since we began writing at IndustryGamers. The stock is now trading below $1.00 and has received a warning from the NASDAQ exchange that they may be de-listed. Some investors may look at a low price per share stock and think it is cheap, but this is not the case at all with THQ. There is a chance that THQ may be bought out, but it’s just as likely that a potential white knight purchaser would choose instead to sit and wait for a bankruptcy so they can pick up pieces of THQ at fire sale prices. The company has a market capitalization below $50 million and $100 million of debt. A better trade/investment may be to buy the THQ convertible bonds which are trading at 50 cents on the dollar. Their CUSIP is 872443AB2. Those bonds are paying a 10% interest rate right now, but we are not entirely sure if THQ will even be able to pay off their debt at their current cash burn rate. Bottom line, do not buy these shares! If you want to make a bet on THQ surviving, check out their convertible bonds.
Tao...I believe it was on game, not sure. The analyst was saying the CTO's mean nothing that they are old. I am not sure what is going to happen here but someone needs to force Gary's hand and put this baby for sale.Darksiders buy the way looks awesome but it will still not be enough. 1.4 million Udraw tablets still out there.
Tao I believe Think s a paid something. No one is that persistant on every negative email that comes out. I hope he makes enough money to feed his family and at least have a decent life no matter where he is from.
That think guy has to be the sickest puppy I ever encountered on yahoo so he is on ignore again. I agree Jedi we are stuck until the next CC for everybody waiting for some clarity on what is going on or maybe the UFC game will be a nice surprise even thou nobody will care for earnings only the cash position. Maybe the CTO's once they come to life have something good for us because we need cash badly and dilution at this level will create a riot and Brian knows it. The article I posted earlier gives me some hope that Oppenheimer will force something here very soon. His choices are very limited and I only see selling 2 studios, selling SR franchise or selling the entire company. Everybody on the BOD knows how dire the situation is and I am hoping they will do the right thing.
