    • can't compare their dividend to other reits unless you factor the tax treatment. all of 2010 dividends are return of capital, as they have significant NOLs from the write down of their book. therefore, it's 100% tax free right now.

      depending on your tax bracket, you can compare the after tax yield to the other mreits.

      • Agreed. But,I have a longer term perspective. And, after the NOL is exhausted, the dividend will still be the same $1.00 per year.

        I believe the price of this stock is driven by the dividend. I would like to see the company share more of the wealth with the stockholders and increase the dividend.

        Then you will see the stock price respond. Until then, I don't see the catalyst for a substantial increase in the price of the stock.
