Based on our Group's tracking of earnings releases for HURC since 2004 -- the 2nd Qtr. release should be tomorrow (Thurs. 5/31) or Friday (6/1). The release has been typically before the open on Friday's recently and it's been so for the Q2's the past 4 years (it's been the 4th & "5th" Friday of May recently).. spilling into June last year for the 1st time in History. With current backlog levels ending Q1 at $30M (which is 2X more than average)and high-end machine tool order activity healthy in both U.S. and Germany ... we expect another solid Quarter for HURC. Consolidated global Orders in the low-$50M range, Revenue in the mid-$50M range .... and EPS in the $0.58-$0.64 range. This would represent a solid "beat" of the current Street estimates of $45.7M (rev.) and $0.50 (EPS). Have a good close to the week!
Well, it sure looks like things are slowing. hence the performance of the industrials. looks like these stocks need to reflect a much slower world for their goods and an uncertain US outlook with taxes and debt on the forefront.
Jon -- nice summary. Your thoughts on Orders, Revenue & EPS are very close to our views as well. I expect we'll see another fine Quarter for Hurco. Thanks for taking the initiative to share your estimates.
