Does anyone have any information on why the regional president in Albany, GA is leaving STI? Was he ousted, or is he leaving on his own free will. The local newspaper article said he will spend some time kicking back and enjoying some fishing, but he will still be looking for a job in or away from Albany.
I can see that living in the GIANT town of Athens GA gives you great perspective on large banks and their ability to generate revenue with meaningful margins. If you really think Albany Ga is long for the road for banks that have to cut expenses DRASTICALLY you have lost your "cotton pickin" mind. Sti runs and OER of over 72%, they aint getting to normal OER (55%) by betting on Albany and using resources to run these areas.. These markets are not long for the road fella.. Savannah, Augusta, Macon and Columbus maybe the only NON Atlanta markets spared. the revenue game in banking has changed forever, and banks as large as sti have to place bets where the revenue opportunities are.. If you have not noticed its a PUBIC company, they owe it to us as shareholders to get this OER squared away
