    The one unknown I have with GAI is that I think it is odvious that the next two quarters will be rotten before new products start to ramp up. So is that in the price? or will stock drop to $6 to $6.50 on bad news and then ramp up as revenues increase with new products?

    Other ideas? Hard to find any as I have been a net seller and cash building up. But here are a couple:

    1) Tsakos energy navigation (TNP) owns oil tankers (competes with Teekay). At $15 it is below book, at 5 X EPS and has a 7% ;yield. Earnings are extremely volatile in this industry.

    2)The booze companies have not been doing much lately and they can be bought at around 12X eps and 3%+ yields. Cadbury Schweppes (CSG), Allied Domecq (AED), and Diageo (DEO). these are all well branded names (look at what they sell). I dont know why they are out of favor.All are restructuring and doing cost reduction programs to improve profitability going forward.

      I probably know less about KEP than you.
      Thanks for the added info.
      -And I agree that KEP looks like a cheap stock, with good fundamentals, and good earnings going forward.
      -But I think it's also for the long term investor.
      -Good luck.

    • More on KEP;

      2002 eps are overstated. In 2002 they had net non operating results of KRW 124 billion ($105 million US) versus a loss of KRW 1,057 in 2001.

      This is all from swaps, currencies, gains from repayment of bonds, sale of investments, etc.

      Even if normal earnings per ADR run $1.75 to $2.00 it still looks good.

    • I like your downside figure ---I have an order in to buy 700 at 7.15 (my initial orders are usually for 5,000 dollar value) and if i get this i would probable double up at the 6.50 level---I have been mostly selling but am always looking for value no matter what the product, industry or country. Except tobacco no matter what the value or potential. Don't like to support them.
      Looked into OSG and ISH in ocean shipping but these companies as with the one you mentioned seem a little overpriced. Late next year i will be able to buy them cheaper, i'm certain. Lots of new vessels coming through and should put some pressure on rates and probably stock prices. I really like the large drugs for value at this time as they are being hit due to the uncertainty. Usually thats the time to buy.

      • Foilart, Cantpickastock, Rainforest,

        I am, also, looking for good value stock ideas for this year. The following are my six most recent buys: oca, moss, mrsa, npk, cstr, fre.
        Oca and Moss are still below my entry price, and the others are modestly to significantly (cstr) above. Along with npk, you have discussed several others I own (dswl, gai). What do you think of these? What are your current best ideas?
