I track 12 stocks in my portfolio, and I have noticed that my smallcaps have been hit harder than my large caps like Merck (which has gone up). One theory is that people will dump smallcaps to raise money rather than sell blue chips. I never buy on margin, but friends who do have been getting margin calls on their internets. Let's face it, would you sell a small cap like FirstCash or a blue chip?
Glad I didn't sell yesterday - I think today is the bottom for NASDAQ.
Better than expected. EGAM crapping out but my other value stuff holding up well. Wish I would have bought more here today. I would sell blue chips over small caps because they are relatively more expensive, but then, i dont own any blue chips.
