JJSF could buy all on part of TSTY when it goes to chapter 7. Some banks could be looking for a buyer of used equipment, and intellecual property.

    • When TSTY goes Chapter 11 I'm sure CEO Schreiber will bid only on the Tastycake brand name only. He doesn't need the headaches of the Tasty plant or it's union route drivers. He can fire all the Tasty employees (like he did when he bought bankrupt Country Bakers) and then rehire them at below union wages. This CEO started JJSF 30 years ago by bidding at a a bankruptcy auction. Subsquently, he has paid next to nothing for
other bankrupt brands. The only fly in the ointment is Tastycake products don't have a long shelf life and most of J & J's revenues are derived from frozen products with a very long shelf life. If he buys the Tasty brand name, rest assured he will pay next to nothing for it. He is a master.
