If indeed they paid $38 million for Kim and Scott they paid too much. $38 million is almost 3 times annual sales. I was kind of surprised by the deal. I never saw $5 boxes of frozen boxed speciality pretzels as competition and/or a natural fit to the reasonably priced Superpretzel brand. But Gerry and co has proven the naysayers wrong many times. Cannot argue with his track record.
J & J never discloses in a press release what they paid for in a purchase. What is your agenda? Whatever they paid for Kim & Scott will be reflecred in their next 10-Q. With all the cash J & J is sitting on...over $170 mill I look for the potential of many more cash purchases. It all should help bring up the EPS.
