It looks like another store manager has or will be leaving macyeast before the change over. And it seems to be in the same Rvps division. What is going on with two gms turning within 3 months. Cant fill rmms. It looks like FD made a huge mistake keeping the rvp. They are losing all the good merchants at the store level.
I cannot believe that Fred and Randy know whatis going on. They are a class act. Maybe the resignations of all these GMS, the fact that RMMS positions cannot be filled will open their eyes. The last thing Macys wants before the grand opening in Sept is bad press.
Well, at least you have follow up by your GM. When the GM leaves our store nothing changes. The responsible associates are the ones following up on the sales managers our GM/SM only do their job when there is a dog and pony show in town.
How will these stores operate without the GM overseeing the everyday operations. We all know what happens when they are on vacation. There will be no guidance. Plus We know that it is not ops jobs to make sure things get done. I truly feel sorry for the asms and hourly workes
This is very troubling for me that there is so much discontent with in macyeast. Could one person be the root of all the problems. If that is the case where are Fred Hand and Randy Scalise? Do they even know about these issues? or is just a good ole boys network?
Why would the C.E.O. of the company make such a symbolic empty threat? If he believes in his mission so much, and if some of the senior managers are so negative why not just fire them?
This type of buffing of the chest is expected from inexperience lower management. The comment should have not been made.
I hope some of you got out with the up tick this morning. This is a prelude of the tumble to come one last gasp of air.
They are surprised because we were all excited about the take over and moving forward with Macys and has turned out to be the same old thing. Nothing is new. It is depressing. All the energy from the spring is gone. And now the store manager who held everything together.
"The Home RMM does not report to the RVP of stores"
You are correct. However, they are part of the RVP's team, participate as a regional member and, ultimately depend on the GM and RVP to get things done in their stores.
