RB has about half of the 750K on Suboxone which generates about $1.5B in revenues for RB.
The other half would be on methadone.
The current projections have Titan capturing 20% to 33% of RB's market, just 60K to 100K patients, for total revenues of $300M to $500M.
What about the patients at methadone clinics?
What about the other 1.5M addicts not on medication?
How many of those can Braeburn convert to Probuphine?
With the advantages of Probuphine, it would seem that it would be an easy sell to the State facilities and to the Federal prisons.
RB is serving 1/6 of the total available pool of patients.
There are 1.5M addicts not on any medication.
If Braeburn just gets 20% of those addicts, that's an additional $1.5 billion in revenues.
If Braeburn get 1/3 of the methdone patients, that's an additional $500 million in revenues.
The $300M to $500M in projected Probuphine sales only considers the patients that would switch from Suboxone to Probuphine. I see a potential $500 million of additional sales to patients now on methadone and $1.5 billion of additional sales to addicts not currently on medication.
what I find interesting in your discussion is the Total # of addicts vs. the Total # of patients seeking treatment. The effectiveness of available treatment options certainly is a contributing factor to the Total # of patients seeking treatment. If probuphine proves to be a more effective treatment as compared to current treatment options then it seems logical that the Total # of addicts seeking treatment will increase, effectively expanding the potential market/# of customers in this space. Just a thought.
I wonder with Probuphine being an implant procedure,if this drug then falls under a different insurance code with Obamacare and can be easily reimbursable compared to the difficulty many Suboxone patients have, as alot of prescriptions are out of pocket for that.
If Probuphine gets a medical prodecure insurance code, this will create an abundance of new patients who could not afford suboxone treatments and out of pocket expenses, then using Probuphine instead,
A rake aweay business from RB.
