    this is an odd hire

so this guy was a consultant hired by ONCY to license Reolysin, but apparently failed to do so, they made him a director at the ONCY Barbados (which i find deeply troubling and am very susipicious of) and then BT (the incompetent) hires him in an exec role.

WTF, this smells of the stink associated with ONC hiring Weiner Schnitzel into some similar role years after Weiner Schnitzel made one of the most failed and incompetent price calls ever on any biotech.

    f***ing pathetic.

what ONC's BoD needs to hire is fire BT (the incompetent) as Chair and find a Chair with extensive and relevant big pharma licensing. and i suspect given all the consolidations in big pharma there are lost of really capable people around.

again i ask what success can BT (the incompetent) claim he possesses in doing successful partnerships or bringing potential therapies all the way to market. as best i know he is a complete failure in these two critical areas that you want the Chair to possess. being connected to 3rd or 4th tier financiers or being part of some dead duck quacker club or having a history of nothing but biotech failures doesn't qualify you in any way to be the Chair of ONC.

    • Hiring this person is a very bullish sign for the company. No company (big or small) invests money in more business development people until they believe they have a viable product to sell. Additionally what this also shows that ONCY is doing the right things to bring the product to market themselves... without waiting for some big pharma company to scoop them up. In so doing... the longer that ONCY is able to drive the sales machine themselves... the more they can also drive the sales price higher... prior to any other company attempting to buy them. It's a very positive sign. Enjoy the ride.

fact is ONC went down this road before at a time when the fraudster were all touting "to da moon" and "registration just around the corner" and ... (maybe all just a big criminal scheme) and ONC then hires a goofball analyst Weiner Schnitzel who had a $50 target price on ONC and he become VP of future failure and then he was gone a few months later. around this time ONC had a short partnership with Pfizer that Pfizer killed (it was in, get this sign of BT (the incompetent) incompetence for the pet market (htf BT (the incompetent) wanted to treat your pet toad with Reolsyin if it ever got cancer (f***ing hell what a tool he is)).

        history lesson over.

Alan Warrander has worked as consultant for Oncolytics and was granted 10,000
      options last December."

I just picked up this little tidbit from the V2 board.

I'm not sure what to believe: This hiring is groundwork for a planned partnership? Or, is this position a payoff for having given him options that aren't worth a damn?

    • Excuse my naivete, but how could he have licensed a drug which hasn't passed all trials and not been approved by the FDA?

As far as your concerns over his being hired, the market seems to agree with you. There is heavy selling in the $2.70 area.
