    Wishful Thinking

I bought NFI for the dividends some time ago. I sold all of my shares this AM. I am not a stock basher, just an investor nearing retirement.

It seems to me that at the very least NFI management is incompetent and inconsiderate. We do not know what is happening here. If the matter is just taxes, that could have been resolved with attorney input weeks ago. Something is fishy or the management is plain incompetent. Regardless, it has cost me several thousand dollars this morning, and I am not willing to risk additional funds hoping that good news will follow. In reality, I suspect that bad news will follow but that is just my opinion.

    • A couple thousand dollars?? I wager there are some on this board that "lost" a hundred or two thousand if a price fluctuation actually counted as a loss...How can you claim a tax issue could have been resolved weeks ago? You have no clue what's going on, yet your opinion is bad news will follow? Do I notice a pattern of no logic at all in your post, just leading statements? Be more specific: for example, when you say "management is plain incompetent", why not point out where they are lacking in competence (like PR) and (just to be fair) point out where their competence seems to be unexelled elsewhere, like how to build a cash generating machine and keep its momentum up even against sustained economic headwinds.

It does sound like capitulation. I am not saying that pps will not deep any further short term. But it is when other are capitulating wise value investors are accumulating.
