They decided to change their log-on screen without telling anyone. Nothing works now....u can't log on. After getting in touch by phone and listening to a person handing me directions, it still didn't work. Finally I was given a new web site address and the pc gave me an error 'cant find web site". I wonder if anyone ever checked this modification out before putting it on line.
Sorry to hear others are having problems with TDAmeritrade.
Have been with them four years and can't say enough good about them.
Both of my sisters transfered to TDA without a single hitch.
If I have any questions I call the Apex rep, and they could not be more helpful and there is no sitting on the phone waiting for someone, always right there.
Of the five brokers I have been with TDA is by far the best.
Would recommend TDA to anyone, for good reason.
I couldn't log-on on Saturday & Sunday. Because of hearing problems I don't like to use the phone, so I attempted to send them an email. Then I discovered you now have to log-on before you can send an email. So I sent them a fax Sunday night asking them to contact me regarding my online log-on.
Today, I used the phone and entered my 8-digit account number and my PIN as requested.
That did work. So I know they haven't completely blocked my access to my account.
But I don't like to make transactions on the phone. If I can't get online tomorrow, I'm going to transfer everything to Scottrade.
Sorry to hear that some of you have been having problems. I've been TD Ameritrade for quite some time now, starting out with Datek. I found the transition to Ameritrade and now to TD Ameritrade to be smooth and haven't experienced any problems.
Not only that, but the site had stalled (again) spoke with a manager again, and mentioned I had heard Morral (sp) head guy on bloomberg over the weekend, and I will join those who are 'defecting' due to their screw ups. I never (rarely) trade at the open, but it took 20 minutes to get it fixed. My log in is ok but I use the old site, not the new. In my opinion management is the only one to talk to and here is the one I spoke to -

The only reason I stay is the free this or that due to number of trades, and I am not now trading, but still get the APEX service anyway.
There is also another 5$ per trade without phone contact service callec izone.
I might move my trading positions there, to reduce comms even further. (only email support though) Best Sherry
I had problems this morning as well. I finally talked to someone at Ameritrade (I was uable to get through to a human via the TDAmeritrade numbers) and he acknowledged the problem and said that it was being worked on.
I just tried it a few minutes ago and it is working but I still notice problems.
Hopefully they get it sorted out soon!
Look for "Client log on" on the upper right hand corner. Click on it and log on as usual. You will not have any problem.
