Yes, there is a precedent. Check out Iiilimumab (Yervoy), a monoclonal antibody approved for treating melanoma in March of last year. The ODAC was canceled because all of the issues that the ODAC had questions about were resolved in advance of the meeting, and the drug sailed through its panel review and was promptly approved without a hitch. Those events were identical to what we saw today.
