I'm wondering if anyone know of any biotech stocks similar to EXEL? Small market cap, Phase 3 trials, some risk but huge potential in the pipeline...
I've invested a good amount of money in EXEL over the years and I am pretty confident that investors will be rewarded in the next few years. However I'd like to diversify a little bit more so I'm looking for another gem like EXEL.
GALE, I start building my positions after most recent secondary offering.
It is an immunotherapy stock on breast cancer (phase 3). also in corporation with Roche's Herception for combination treatment. It also has pipeline on phase 2 prostate cancer immunotherapy. Last week on World News With Diane Sawyer (breast cancer awareness month), an oncologist from ?Michael Reese Hospital mentioned that it works and cut half breast cancer recurrence. GALE has some risk but potential to go much higher.
FWIW, my opinion of GALE and its Neuvax is that it will be a another immunotherapy black hole sucking in retail investor money and only profiting those who trade it from the short side. I don't want to get drawn into a long discussion, but GALE's platform is a peptide vaccine adjuvented with GMCSF, and neither approach has shown much success in the past. Cancer immunotherapy companies have literally burned through billions of investor capital with very little success to show to date. The checkpoint inhibitors being the exception and the experience with those to date is that adding an antigen vaccine to a checkpoint inhibitor has not added to efficacy.
