MQL.V is a Cardium and Viking formations light oil player in the Toronto stock exchange. It trade well below its book value now. Does anybody know more about it ?
yeh man. It's extremely undervalued. Do some research...check out their website. I started buying skywest when it was trading around .20 cents per share which was rediculus. For every 100 shares of skywest I owned before the merger, I got 10 of mql at 1.78 per share. Marquee got one hell of deal on skywest and Marquee is trading sub their value when they bought skywest. I'm done buying. I've got my average pps down to 1.40 per share.

Can't say that I do. But if you are interested in a Cardium player, your best bet imo is Belletrix - BLLXF.pk in US, BXE.TO in Canada.
I would be a bit cautious about the Alberta-Bakken (Exshaw)group - Primary, Bowood, Reliable, Argosy, etc. - it may take a bit longer for them to unscramble the A-B code - after all it took a few years for drillers to figure out how to make the Bakken profitable.
I would also recommend minnehunter's choices of CENJF.pk/CEN.TO, (drilling in the GOT), and for other Canadians drilling in their home country I also like Deethree and even more than that one, add SCSZF.pk/SCS.TO, ARNBF.pk/ARN.V to that list. They are both active in the Swan Hills area, as is Midway - but I like Secondwave and Arcan a bit better.
My interest in Canadians originated over the past 12 months or so after it became very clear that the current administration in Washington will do nothing to encourage energy exploration and production - and more likely everything they can do to potentially impede it.
So many great other choices why that one? I use to own skywest... I should know!.....look at coastal, kodiak, samson,( after their Niobrara well)...deethree, If you want a better home run pick look at petef or dejour, or mountainview.... and maybe even bowood if they would ever announce their final results of their two first fri@cken alberta bakken wells!!!!
MQL.V acquired Skywest recently...so they acquired the best Cardium land in Canada. Cardium formation has been derisked since 2010 too.
Niobrara has very high costs per well and it has not been derisked.
Bowood is grossly overvalued and it trade well above its equity.
