i've been hovering around KOG for a while. the prospects are obviously bright, but to a certain extent they are equally . . . obvious, it seems, to the informed community at least.
this issue has had a near-parabolic price trajectory over the last few months. could anyone provide rationale for a continued bullish march on KOG given that there seems to be quite a bit of spectacular future results already built into the price?
I don't think you're short and I think it is a good question.
Lots of good news and a lot of bad news is priced in. The bad being the sleave problems. They have made NO annoucement about the progress in fixing them and I think that is making investors nervous. Nervous investors sell. Plus people are waiting on flow results from new wells. The longer they wait, the more nervous they get IMO.
I hope the news is good and have played it that way. If it is good the stock will shoot above $11 IMO. If bad news it migh go into the $8's. NO news will make it continue to drift lower I believe.
They have announced new wells...8 of them...they didnt put them out in a PR...they put them on their corporate presentation...all good wells..although i think 4 of them look like they were completed using the aquisition Co. frac recipe....
from now on all these wells should be completed from kog frac recipe....which means much more oil.
you idiot, it was a serious question. i've been long SSN for a while, never pulled the trigger on KOG but looking to scoop up some jan '14 calls if this price action keeps up. if you have anything meaningful to contribute, please do so. also, do yourself a favor and throw out your worn-out vhs copy of Boiler Room you taped off cable.
