    Big production numbers soon --

3rd Q ended with ptoduction of 35,400 BOPB and with 20 new wells to be completed by end of 4th Q KOG should have over 55,000 BOPD productiion by then. That will be around 20,000 BOPD more to sell and that to should make the bottom line look real good.

    • The bigger the numbers the lower oil goes and the lower the juniors go. It's called a CATCH-22!!!

    • small oilers are totally out of favor kog ain't going anywhere but down like all the rest.

      Sentiment: Strong Sell

    • They can pump a million barrels a day and the stock will go nowhere until they start producing some real profit. And that is not happening.

    • Yea, but let's remember how frigid it gets in ND ~ The last few winters there have been brutal if I remember correctly which does have an impact on KOG ~ To what extent I'm not sure BUT I know someone here does know ~ Hopefully we will see big steps being taken towards that self funding that we need ~ I'm guessing the number is around 60K to 70K bbls of production (with oil around $95+ ~ my W.A.G) ~ GLTA KOG Longs!

      • You Bet. Got the paper at 05:30 and it was -14 degrees / wind 16mph / wind chill -38 degrees in Minot N.D. But it is always worse out in the field. The only good thing is we don't have a lot of snow, so the trucks can get to the locations. If we get dumped on they shut the wells in when trucks cant get to location. Give a little prayer for these people out in the field, this is dangerous times for them.

    • You are estimating (like I did) that each new well will produce 1000 bopd. What if it's more? I've been trying to find out the actual average of barrels per day, per well; but with no luck. I thought I saw a table one time that showed an average of 2000 bpd, per well; but I cannot locate it. Anyway, 20 new wells at 2000 bpd each would yield 40,000 bopd; an increase of 100% no matter how you look at it. 100,000 is not that far off.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

      • Hi Mike,

Just reading the news for new weils, many have come in at ~ 2000bopd. At the end of 30 days they are producing in a range of 800 to 1200 bopd. Take a look at the average depletion curves in the Oct2013 KOG presentation.. If you look at a Dunn county sample, month 1 averages 27Kbo per month and month 6 has about 10K bo per month. The polar was about 23Kbo per day for month 1 and about 8K or 9 K bo per month at month 6. So, calculations like you're making need more detailed information on each well in order to nail down accurate numbers.

        Sentiment: Strong Buy

      • If you take into account 30 mil short, 26mil owned just by Paulson, 202mil owned by institutions, 5.4mil owned by insiders and then all the other closely held shares, that doesn't seem to be many shares around to repurchase is there is ever a short squeeze. JMO (Basing this on 266mil shares out).
        Regards

        Sentiment: Hold

    • Yep , i have all the confidential well list dates on my calendar…….with each one putting out the numbers they've been achieving, things are looking great in the long run.

    • The 3rd production" exit" was higher........The 3rd quarter "daily "sales" averaged 35,400 BOEPD over the 3rd quarter...

      Sentiment: Buy
