Cadence Layoffs- Here is an idea!

I don't know about special perks, but say we just call them Senior Directors instead, do you care? I suppose key managers in any company get some kind of special perks - a better bonus plan perhaps, more options perhaps and I would say fair enough.

I am agreeing management will need downsizing, but take out the managers who are no longer needed or not performing. I don't care if they or VPs or Directors at CDNS. I believe the real issue is to decide which programs need cutting rather than saying get rid of VPs; that's just a dumbass approach. Do enough to nurture the cash cows and kill off some of the under performing so called "growth" programs. DFM comes to mind... SG&A will be downsized according to their new bookings targets and number of people who need supporting going forward.

I worry that another bunch of lunatics are running the asylum. The board has shown they have no clue in the first place. The promoted internal guys were key parts of the problem as well. They need a new CEO (bring back Joe?), board should resign once this is done if they are honorable.

There's no doubt CDNS is at an all time low. They have some strong, profitable product lines. My interest would be to see them executing properly now and there should be money to be made on the stock.
