I used to work in Cadence. I left the company and I thank god for my instincts. The company is filled with many moron, non performing directors and VPs. I know a group director who works only 9 to 2 PM and leaves office after 2 PM. They are working with Cadence for more than 15 or 20 years at a stretch in same positions. Most of the directors and VPs have outdated knowledge. They resist any new ideas vehemently. They have created their small empires and they attack any new idea or new people to protect their territories. If Cadence has to survive for another ten years they will have to get rid of next layers of VPs and directors too. Board has done a great thing but that is not enough I know this company can get rid of another 10-15 VPs easily and it will be very efficient if that is done.
