Myself an ex Cadence employee (spent 2yrs as a sales AE back in 2001-03) of indian origin,whos spent a decade out of cadence. Now last week i applied for a Soc p&r req# 10yrs+. The hiring mgr snubbed me. Mind u the last 2 yrs i have wrkd on 28nm and 30nm complex socs mobile devices at St.Ericsson grenoble france and at qualcomm on physical design as a consultant using SocE 9.1kit and synopsys ic compiler. Which leads me to believe that cadence doesnt hire the best.i got contacted by Apple inc,and qualcomm in the same period. The individual can rechart his skills and reform but someone people dont. Maybe me @ age 40 yrs, is a factor. .here cadence will keep people without us masters degrees .as only need a selected few from alll the acquired firms. The best arent there @ cadence. Ohh really..qualified resumes who worked at top wireless firms @ 28nm ..give me a break.. Even 99.9% of resumes wont match that.

Cadence is history....Lip Bu-Tan and his hench man Ribar (CFO) will rape the company and then sell it sometime in 2013........probably to a chinese company. New fabless semiconductor start ups are decreasing rapidly and soon it will be the big 5. I'm not surprised at the treatment of employees, that is how Ribar is. HE most likely has responsibility over HR and he knows nothing about HR. ( although he thinks he knows everything, he is really a dumb #$%$
