    Court upholds ruling

The appeals court upheld the lower court
    ruling
enjoining Aquarius software. I like this line in the
    story

"Friday's ruling said the district court properly applied
    the
law and had its own expert examine the
    software, then cited
    several of the ``strongest
    examples'' of duplication. Avant!
    argued that just 56
lines of code were cited, calling that a
    very
    minimal duplication.

    But the appeals court said
    the district court ruling cited
    only the
strongest examples, but did not say those were the
    only
    similarities."

    • With all the BS on this board you could grow some nice crops. Too bad it doesn't help in growing stocks.

    • This little site has hot earnings information
weeks in advance of its actual publication. They say
that often it comes from "insiders".

      I'm still
not sure how this can be legal but I'll take any
warning I can get in this crazy market where some of the
top performers really don't have much in the way of
earnings and every little detail is scrutinized.

Take a look and by the way you can look up almost any
company and not just this one.

      Just retype this
web address into your browser window or cut and paste
      it.

      Good luck with
      CDN.

    • EOM = End Of Message

    • who is a stockholder reads every message. I'm
thinking of putting them together to write a comedy show.
I think we know who is serious and who is trying to
gain from his/her postings. I do worry about threats
to some one, but then again the language was
uncalled for. Just for a newbie like me, could someone
explain what is meant by <eom>? FYI I hold my
stocks for the long run. I either go down in flames or
go up to the stars. I never buy what I can"t afford.

    • I've been wondering, is there any way we can
screen some of the posters here. I'm thinking
      about
KHAWALA.. His staff is so bad, I'll be quite happy if I'll
be able to get all his new email
      out of my
sight.. With him bringing so much crap on this board,
      even the title of <<THE
      FOOL OF THE CDN
BOARD>> will be way too generous for him. Help anyone..
      Thanks..

    • opportunity after it dropped to $11. With its new
release of products and restructuring to cut cost. It
will move back up to $20s-$30s. Just like LSI when
they bottomed down to $12, now LSI is in the $50s.
Same for our HLIT when they bottomed at $10s now they
      are in the $80s.

    • Hoping AMD is also using Charmin toilet papers
so that I can buy/sell ... just kidding.

    • >THIS IS BIG BLOW FOR AVNT BY LOSING THEIR
      CASE.THE CRIMINAL
      >CASE DATE AGAINST HSU THE CEO OF
      AVNT IS OCT.12TH,1999.HE WILL
      >BE ENDITED FOR
      STEALING THE CODE FROM CDN.

      Uh, the indictment is
old news. For a criminal case, the defendant is
indicted and arraigned before a court case is set. Guess
some of us don't watch enough lawyer shows. Hsu and
co. were arrested back in '97 and this has been
dragged out since. As far a delaying tatics go, Hsu's
lawyer has done a good job.

    • Unthinkable wish!!!

    • I agree.

      Price changing
      events:

Does anyone know what the projected Q3 loss is
      ?
Court case - this will close Q4 IMHO

      Q4/Q1 at
the earliest are when the excitement
      starts.

      Thanks,
      EDADoc
