I get spam like crazy from this market guru. on one he touts what must be joyg from his "clues" in the newsletter. but it had some in-accurate things. Like the stock went up 30% in 5 days after the last earnings report (that was 2 quarters ago) and he's predicting it again this time -- so -- $55 joyg in Sept? Anyone else think so?
Sorry if you're offended, but some of us were talking about where we got our stock picks and his name came up. Trust me, the man has no need to post on Yahoo message boards. Frankly, no one posts much on this board anyway, so I don't think a lot of harm was done.
My email addresses are email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org. Either works as I forward one to the other depending on where I am in the world. Currently in London.
What do you think about the new Global newsletter?
Yes, indeed it could not be anything else but JOYG. It is going down now, but it happens many times before a quick rise. I'm in - and if it proves to be true I'll try to go for Louis subscription (although the price is extremely high). If anyone wants to go for a consortium - shoot me an email.
send me an email -- it's on my profie... yours is private... I'm interested in getting a group together that compares notes on these guru's... there's good money to be made just trading based on their picks I think ... if one can time it right and separate the wheat from chaf.
Figured the same thing also. He did one about a month ago on a small Florida company about to have stellar earnings. From the few clues I was able to figure it out as Forward Industries. So, bought in at 17.50 and exited at 24.50 in 4 days. His next one was a pharma about to announce big earnings. Figured this one out as Kos Pharmaceuticals. However, I wasn't quite sold on the upside potential after scouring previous news and going over key statistics. Stayed on the sidelines and watched as it, indeed, lacked any earnings pop and, in fact, went down as the week passed. Now his third one is Joy Global based on the clues. I own some coal plays and they've been doing outstanding. Reading up on JOYG's market niche and growth from the coal demand has me thinking this one could have some pop. It is, after all, an indirect energy play. The one thing that kept throwing me off was his talk about this company releasing earnings in the next five days. At the time JOYG was still weeks away from earnings news. Still, since I think this is the one he's talking about and since the stock has retreated some lately, I may take a quick hit and run position in this.
anyone who wants to compare notes on these kind of things email me... its in my profile.
is there anyway we can start a message board here for "market guru's" ???
it's impressive how they can move stocks a few points just a rec. You also have to figure they play that themselves and get a lot of "freerolls" to use a poker term.
the annoying thing is they never admit there's a lot more money in selling subscriptions than they can make in the market.
I got the same email flyer from Louis and conclude, as you do, that he's talking about this company. He certainly was wrong on the timing of when earnings come out. Let's hope he's right about how much of a pop this thing makes when they do report.
