How can Joy Global be trading near a 52-week high while their customer's stocks are near 52-week lows?
Joy Global's business will be terrible for a long time. Mining company capital expenditures continue to be slashed, while used equipment from closed mines are readily available to purchase or move to other facilities.
Because the market slump has lasted closer to 100 weeks, but that's all it is, and they're making plenty of money to ride it out. If you didn't cover or buy after Ed raised the dividend, I don't know what to tell you. That's not something you do unless things are improving.
