My understanding from previous communications from the company that it would take up to 1 year to complete the process for Viking products to be sold in China. I would be very surprised if the system is actually for sale, but I do find it incredibly encouraging that the Chinese distributor has already put the Viking 3DHD on the main page. ( hopefully in anticipation of regulatory approval )
on another note: Lets see those sales/delivery updates!!!
You mean you can't read Chinese? No wonder you are at a disadvantage. Ok just kidding, but only because I can't read Chinese either.
While we can't easily know what it is they have to say. We know they are a VKNG distributor because the link came from the International Distributor page of the VKNG website. On the other hand, the image on the Home Page appears to be of the older 3Di System. The NextGen 3DHD System does appear on the product page if you click through to the detail page.
A quick/rough/free translation doesn't yield anything really revealing except to confirm that they are talking about the "Viking three dimensional peritoneoscope system"
While sales delivery updates may make us news starved shareholders happy, be careful what you wish for. One at a time order announcements migh do more harm than good by making it even more clear that sales are ramping slowly. Right now there are undoubtedly holders who are still hoping for some big numbers, if you kill their dreams they will be more inclined to unload sooner rather than later.
I do think they missed the boat by not having at least a few confirmed sales to announce on launch Monday, if only to a few key opinion leading hospitals. It seems far fetched that they couldn't come up with a customer or two like that even from among their existing customer base or the hospitals were some of the folks who are advising them work.
