Revenues were down slightly, about $1.5M, which represents the price of an average asphalt plant. A company this small, where each sale represents 6-8% of total sales in the quarter, easily can and will have year-to-year skews in revenue growth.
EPS was hurt by what looks like a mark-to-market adjustment in the value of their marketable securities.
I would assume the company is still on the acquisition trail, as the pile of cash and no long-term debt is still there.
If it isn't the biggest gainer in the NASDAQ and NYSE this year (up +200%) it is definitely in the top 5. Profit taking after earnings was expected.
