    What can George do?

He can't reduce the troops, and he can't increase them by any great numbers. And, he certainly won't try to deal with Syria and Iran.

So - he's back to stay the course. Granted, he can add a few brigades, or add more trainers, or talk to anyone who will listen - but it isn't going to stop Hakim from dividing off the Southern Shia's into their state, nor Talabani from continuing to build up the Kurdish forces to protect his state, nor the Sunni's from allying with Al Quieda and the Saudi's who are buying them weapons, nor Maliki from holding onto Sadr.

Great allies this bunch. Must say I'm thoroughly impressed by the idea that they will be the cork in the bottle that separates the Arabs from the Persians and keeps the Persians from being the dominant power in the area.

What a laugh. A tragic laugh, but a laugh never-the-less.

Talabani was offended. How dare we imply that they can't run that country. Granted, he just got back from hugging up to the Irani president, which followed all that hugging up to the Syrians. All of which followed Sadr's hugging up to both of them not so long ago.

Great team this bunch. Yeah - go team.

You can have them Fact. So can George. They can be in your trenches any day.
