    Capitulation in Coeur shares

Going down 8% on sound news tells you this stock is bottoming. Whether it is real capitulation by normal shareholders or an artificial takedown by those that play around with this market doesn't really matter. This looks like a double bottom.

    • I sold my CDE at $24 right as last years bloodbath started. I said then that I was waiting for prices below $15 to buy back in and I am still waiting. I wanted to wait for silver prices to return to the low 20's before buying, but this may carry CDE to those levels without a reduction in silver prices. Its not just the price of the buyout that will hurt shareholder value - its the long term cost of investment CDE will need to develop the new properties. Imagine all the investment in new mines that will have to be paid for. If CDE gets these properties, they go from being a mature producing miner to a miner with a mixed portfolio of mines - with some mines requiring large amounts of capital. Its a game changer.

    • Mobil_ Good observation. Up to this time, this has not been that bad considering these events are routinely jumped on by the hedge funds. Compared with last Nov. 6 when ~12 million shares were traded during a single day loss of ~$15, today is a sleeper. Up to now only ~2 million shares have traded with a paper loss of $2.25. I will consider it serious if we drop another 2 bucks on 5 million trades.

Let me translate: It's ok that I'm getting screwed because the member is only in half way. BUT, if it's shoved in all the way, I think I may have a problem. Spoken like an idiot bagholder.

    • You see the price of SLW? They also buy a ton of silver.. Maybe thats why their stock is actually at multi year highs.. Oh yea, $35 for SLW is far higher than the rest. CDE on the other hand is closer to multi year lows. You still Believe this stocks cheap. Its cheap for a reason.
