comparing NLY to TWO ... I see NLY has basically been flat for 3 years, just paying a hefty dividend. Should we expect TWO to do the same (range from $8 - $12) or is their value actually going to increase (or decrease) with real estate values? I bought in at $9 and am wondering if I shouldn't get out with my 25% increase and wait to see if it finds its way back to $9 or $10 again. Any thoughts on future value ?
I honestly have been looking at the charts and thier reports and I cant quite figure it out. I bought in heavy at $10 and didn't expect a whole lot of movement maybe 10% either direction max, SIt back and collect my 14%. I have a feeling this is just a normal ramp up to the ex. div date. I may unload after that date and by in again if it re-traces big.
Always sell BEFORE the ex-dividend date. If you hold until after the date it drops by the dividend amount anyways AND you pay the taxes on the amount... its WAYYY better to sell the day before ex-dividend near the close and the next day/ or later (after an SPO)
