I get the impression that GEOwatch actually has good info from employees. Some of its difficulties are clear from the public record. Stock price was higher six months ago than it is now. The big trading days of the last quarter all featured substantial and long-lasting tumbles in price.
GEO's move to pressure the Michigan governor to keep their Baldwin juvenile pen failed, spectacularly. Their Pueblo, Colorado pen that was supposed to have been operating years ago still wants the necessary permits. Their savior in California, Schwartzenegger, is in deep trouble. Costly suits drain corporate coffers. CSC is and has been a mess and they've only served to take Slattery off the hook. In Florida, we have yet to hear the other shoe dropping on the discovery of the $13 million overcharge by CCA and GEO.
So where's the bright side?
