George C. Zoley, vice chairman and chief executive officer of Wackenhut
Corrections Corporation ("WCC"), said, "The company is committed to supporting

unauthorized arrivals." Temporary contingency facilities under consideration
are defense facilities at Singleton in New South Wales to accommodate
approximately 1,000 beds; El Alamein in South Australia to accommodate
approximately 1,200 beds; and HMAS Coonawarra in the Northern Territory to
accommodate approximately 900 beds. Should these temporary contingency

detention and transportation service since 1997. The centres are strategically
sited across the length and breadth of the continent.
