From what you say, you have invested a serious amount of money into this bank. Did you mean 345k or 34k shares. If it is the first one, you must plainly done a lot of research. No would put that much into any investment without some very serious research.

If you have a source where i could get more info. on NBG. Please care to share. And dont say call a broker. They know about as much as a hobo walking down the street. Thanks

    • The first one.

I use public info sources: IR site for company docs, Bloomberg and other newswires, etc.

The hard data is important, and many folks on this BB do decent job on basic research.

But, the really important thing is correct synthesis of all input to reach proper conclusion. Engineers, in my experience, tend to fail here--they are great researchers and calculators, but they fail at interpretation.

So, my best advice for successful investing is to read widely, including history, to improve on the interpretation part.

Reading others' (well thought out) opinions also is important as it helps one avoid tunnel vision.

Last point: when taking concentrated position, it's important to hedge. My present strategy is extremely simple (and probably suitable for few folks)--I've got my chips on just a few positions, a single winner among which can pay for the (limited) failures of the others. All positions carefully thought out and watched by a mother hen, of course.

      GL.
