How Can an Equity Selling for $3.4/Share Be Worth 10X That?
Seldom happens in an instant; however, in the case of NBG, internal events are now in play which are leading speculators to deduce that additional — and, perhaps, significant — profits are imminent. The decision for NBG to bid on Postbank is not unlike an individual seeking to purchase a home. Keep in mind, much of the business world that we privy is comprised of managed hype and drama — on both sides of the equation. Nothing, to my knowledge, has effected the chain of events which led to Monday's "pop." The time, in my opinion, to be "reactive" was Friday and/or Monday. Every subsequent day that NBG "languishes" at these levels, I believe, represents an opportunity. We shall see . . . soon enough. : )
