"The incident occurred just hours after about 2,500 members of United Auto Workers Local 218 walked off the job following months of failed negotiations to reach a new contract. Union members had been working without a contract since June and twice rejected company offers, dissatisfied with proposed changes to health care and pension benefits."
Apparently the UAW walked off this morning! First I heard of it.
any news links? ... stock is doing great so far ... how is Bell's inventory? ... am reminded of a lengthy strike at Lycoming Williamsport in the early 80's when I was with Avco ... general aviation sales were in the tank and finished inventory was to the gills ... when the uaw announce the strike, mgmt. said "THANK YOU - enjoy your long vac!!"
