If you have ATV share, you will get cash dividend of $0.69 because ex-dividend date is 11/10/10.
"You are misleading people -- the date is 11/15"
obviously neither of you understands what ex-div means.
tomorrow is ex-div for settlement on 11/15. as of tomorrow, you don't get the div which means that as of tomorrow, the stock is worth .69-.02 fees =.67 less.
really the whole thing strikes me as nothing other than an attempt to boost the share price before what is (I infer) going to be a brutally bad earnings release on mon.

though there does seem to be an error here: nov. 15 should give ex-div nov. 11, but all sources are showing nov. 10.
You are misleading people -- the date is 11/15
Acorn International, Inc. (NYSE:ATV - News) ("Acorn" or the "Company"), a leading integrated multi-platform marketing company in China engaged in developing, promoting and selling consumer products and services through its extensive distribution network, today announced that its Board of Directors has approved and declared a cash dividend of $0.23 per ordinary share on its outstanding shares to shareholders of record as of the close of trading on November 15, 2010.
Umm, no you won't. Tomorrow, the stock will drop $0.67 because of ex-div, but you won't see the cash until Dec.
I am curious to see what the results are on Monday. But the special dividend makes me expect the worst.
