Barrons had a front page SELL article out

Down by a third. Wouldn't that be well deserved for this overpriced piece of manure? Joe Terranova of CNBC says it's an "acquisition target". By whom? Waste Management (WM) perhaps?

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

    • I was amazed at how poorly written the article was.I was looking for real potential negatives and the writer did not seem to be able to present any real shortfalls other than the roc percentage presented at the end of the article. The fact that 3 gods yogurt sales have risen over 100% in the past 2 years seem like a positive, not a negative, and the competitors that were mentioned as threats all have had larger market share than Hain over the past 2 years while the sales have been growing. The difference between the GAAP and adjusted numbers were nowhere near as significant as the writer was trying to imply. He gave a short shrift to the growth in cash flow which is very important to any company that is buying other companies and folding them into their system. The fact that more retailers are adding additional space for healthy and organic products which is allowing the company to increase their distribution also seem more like a positive than a negative and I am still trying to figure out how selling out of organic turkey's for Thanksgiving is a negative. The idea that the stock could drop if sales growth slows without being able to actually say that the growth is slowing down does not seem to add much to the analysis.

The stock has risen for the year and the trailing pe has fallen from the 40s to the high 20s, if the trend continues the stock could continue to rise next year even with the pe dropping into the low 20 range by the end of next year.
