One analyst revises down, out of 18 covering. Not going to put alot of weight in that. Many upgrades and target price increases over the last month, and as recently as yesterday. Many analysts have thier "own" agenda!! Swir is looking very strong going forward, i will stick with my own DD.
Okay, but did you also notice on the same page, that, according to Reuters more institutional buyers are selling than buying.
I don't know how accurate these Reuters rankings are, but they one of the only popular sites that were even showing SWIR's last quarter financials. Not to panic anyone, but we need to look at all the data.
It is important to look at all the data. However, it is important to look at the data in its proper context. That Reuters report reflects institutional buying and selling for the first quarter.
If you look at the stock chart for the first quarter, the stock was essentially flat. As the first quarter was coming to a close, the stock began a strong uptrend, in anticipation (I believe) of a strong first quarter report.
Until the recent consolidation, the stock was under strong institutional accumulation. Even after the pullback, SWIR is still up over for the second quarter. When Reuters shows institutional activity for the second quarter, you should see a significant change.
As for the downward revision by one analyst, I would not be overly concerned. The majority of analysts who follow this company continue to raise their estimates, including the most recent upward revision buy Dundee earlier this week.
I'm much more concerned about long term competitive threats by companies that recognize how enormous this opportunity is, especially in the embedded module for laptop space.
