      • Look guys, I've lived in Beijing. There are thousands of billboards. There is NO way they'll remove or silence them during the Olympics. Ok, maybe a couple in strategic areas, but if anything, FMCN will get a hand in advertising in strategic spots. Why would the government do anything to inhibit cash inflows for its peoples' companies? That strategy is inverse to one of the many benefits for for having the Olympics in the first place, right? Plus it's not like Beijing is really pristine. There should be a lot more things the gov should do away with before the Olympics than advertisements, like the countless whorehouses all over the place. Billboard ads highlights the strong economy because it shows that businesses are willing to invest in marketing causes in China. Stupid post, but scary with analysis.
