dividend announcement?

Maybe they have been waiting on the Jefferies coverage among other events.

I hadn't noticed this before, but right off their website:
Dividend Information
Our policy is to declare quarterly dividends to stockholders in February, April, July and October.
So whether it was Jan 30th or 31st last time is irrelevant - it will be in February. (Hopefully early February.)- 3 Replies to angela_sts

Irrespective of what their website says the consistency of when dividend announcements are made as well as when it goes ex-div is very relevant. Yahoo shows the last ex-div in late Oct 06. They should be consistently following up with quarterly announcement and ex-div dates at the end of the next respective quarter, especially when the price of the beast is highly dependent on distributions.

You may be right, but I also read that web site info and could intrepret it as reflecting the payable date and not the date the divy is declared. That would be consistent with last year where the divy was declared end of Jan, but divy paid in Feb. Regardless, lets hope for an announcement ASAP so we can plan and hope its at least the same or more as last quarter to reflect the recent charters and not the downturn, albeit slight, in charter rates. Well, the reason behind my posting is that we are probably going to be looking at a $2.00 dividend for the year, and I just want to get it over.
