we've been promised results on ATOMIC by mid year for awhile now. last shareholder meeting (may 22nd) Blum said the same thing. but the results for this trial had to have been known by Amgen and CYTK for a good while at this point as last patient dosed was in March (i think) and it was only a 48 hour study (someone else can confirm if I'm remembering this correctly). So I think, since the shareholder's meeting, Blum and Amgen have seen results and felt good enough to go back on their word of mid year presentation and make an even bigger splash by presenting at a massive conference that the whole industry will be watching. if thats their strategy then you HAVE to believe results are very positive versus just slightly positive or negative at all.
i was going to cash some out at $2 or after results mid year as i'm averaged down pretty low and could've used some of those profits. then let a chunk ride the rest of the way through the year and hope for buyout. but now, im sitting long and strong with all my shares and if i can get my hands on some extra dough, maybe even add more if a big dip happens but i feel really good about this... not trying to pump and dump... just expressing my opinion, any other thoughts? anyone have another take on it?
I agree. I think that's why Amgen just locked in the rights to Japan. But I don't want a buyout. The oral drug has multibillion dollar potential. The insurance companies are desperate for a way to keep the millions of chronic heart failure patients out of the hospitals. If the drug works, this company should have a Pharmasset-type valuation. But Amgen will eat up the company for a pittance
i'll tell ya what though, if that pittance is anywhere around $10/share, that'd be life changing for me! especially bc it'd probably happen within the next 6 months. my cost basis now is $1.07 so i'll take that 10 bagger and RUN TO THE BANK... but i get what you mean, without a buyout and with successful COSMIC and ALS trials, this thing could really be something
