After thinking about it, I'm almost sure that Intel was a 10 million share holder at the time of the Rambus IPO.
IPO only had 25 MM shares offered.
Intel originally had warrants for 1 million shares, this became 4 million share after the 4:1 stock split. But the warrants never became exercisable, and were withdrawn completely and permanently when the Intel-Rambus contract was revised.
Do you still have the IPO prospectus ? If so look up the Intel shares owned pre offerring and/or the number they were buying at the IPO price. Please respond.
If that was the case, then it must have been 1 million pre offering owned by Intel.
No, the initial IPO only had a float of 25 million. No way INTC held 40% of float!
