    There will be NO settlement from Hynix.. The CAFC will now decide Rambus's fate.

    Hynix has publicly stated they will appeal to the CAFC, that the correct sanction is Robinson's ruling against Rambus re: Micron III.

    I'm sorry but this is exactly what I said would happen, they fully expect to have collateral estoppel apply. The CAFC sided with Robinson before, and should do so again.

    For anybody holding out for a settlement, Hynix has said NO WAY JOSE! It's going to be sm-all or nothing (pun intended) since Whyte sanctioned them $250 million and a HUGE payout is guaranteed NOT to materialize!

    The best they can hope for now is that the CAFC upholds Whyte's ruling and Hynix pays a much smaller amount than originally ordered to pay, no more hope for a HUGE award or settlement!

    Keep rolling the dice ye gamblers, Rambus's future just got really bleak.
