I say RMBS is Dull at $100.. RMBS goes

Man I sold my RMBS at $102... Got into Intel at
$124. Thought RMBS was going to be dull. RMBS went up
$8 1/4 yesterday and is today at $106. Wow I was
thinking bad move. Then I thought Nah it will go down
again. Now Intel goes up $6 and RMBS does not move. I am
happy again. As I said the performance is almost the
same. The risk is not. So I will wait with my Intel
till RMBS is ready... like around May. RMBS should be
$120 then and shoot to $200 soon after. I also said
Nasdaq going to 2500... well tech is hot so Nasdaq is
going to 3000. I revise my previous guess. I see Intel
going to $150 by May at least. Possibly by Feb. Intel
at year end being around $200. Best policy is buy
and never sell. Semi conductor boom coming. Internet
boom coming. Also lots of money around. BUY!! BUY!!!
BUY!!!. Y2k IS HUGE!!!! $20,000 IRS tax deduction for Y2K
upgrades for every business. $50,000 Government loand for
Y2k upgrades for every business. Get in on the chip

iceberg. NEW chip opportunities beyond comprehension are
awaiting us!!! Look at the dam Singapore Taxis!! They need
new systems as of Jan 1, 1999 possibly new product
with new chips can be sold to them. They are one of
Millions of business!!! WE are going to the F**&ing

UNDERESTIMATION OF SALES FOR 1999!!!! We are going to roll over

    • Splits allow the small investor to get into a
stock which at over 100 a share would be tough for them
to do. It also allows Instutional Buyers more shares
for them to purchase or sell without affecting the
price so much. We buy 100's, they buy 1000's.

can go any way with a split. I've seen it where the
word got out before a split was announced, and a stock
went up. Or if it's really kept quiet, it will go up
after the announcement. But it's very rare for a stock
not to go up with, or before a split announcement.
Unless the company is splitting just to keep bad news
from sinking in. We've just seen that happen with one
of the internet companies. No real earnings, but
they announced the split and up it went.

more than brokers reap the rewards of a stock split.

    • So it looks like it will be a 2:1. Of course they can ask for approval for more Authorized shares, but that would take more time.

    • question with a straighgt anser. First question
is good, second question is not so good - Not
"everybody" is ever eager for the same thing at the same
time. If you can accept that patterns (and some people
perceive pattern recognition as a substantial part of
intelligence) increase the "probability" of recurrence, then,
you can accept that the common belief amongst
investors/speculators/stock traders, is that share prices typically rise
prior to a split, believing that the split of the stock
is a very bullish characteristic and that somehow
the lower price results in more people being able to
afford it resulting in a rise in demand for the
      securities traded.
If you do the math it does not make
now and has never made any mathematical sense for
stock splits or reverse splits. However, reverse spits
can occur with companies with Japanese trading
partners because and I quote the CEO of THQ (Toy
Headquarters) "the Japanese trading partners don't like to see
a stock price too low". A company may also reverse
split to save it's share price going below $1.00 for 30
days and risk delisting (exchange?) P.S. I think floor
      hawk is a silly namde.
      Wehr are those moroons the
      fake _Rosermarny44_ and cartobestme?

    • How does a split affect share price ? Why
      everybody is so eager
to see a split ? Look at Berkshire
Hathaway, they never announced a split. In fact only people who
      actually make money because
      of a split are brokerage

    • any thoughts or possibilities of a 3/1? that will produce 66 million, which is still moderate.

    • times in January that they would most likely
announce since it's so close. One is with the report, and
the other at the end of January at the meeting.

I'm personally looking forward to it on the 14th.
That's my wishful thinking. I wouldn't be upset if they
didn't annouce then and waited till later in the month.

With this small amount of shares available for trading
they have to split. It's only the when.

    • if rmbs announces a split on the 14th, you will
probably see a jump in the stock price. with all news on
dram shortages projected in the near future, and intel
reporting next week, i would think it would be more than
enough to trigger the price. also if its a 2/1, there
will still be ONLY 44 million shares outs.

    • more accurate. Any stock that puts on 8+ pts in
one day with no news attached, is pretty good. It
can't keep going straight up with 8 pts everyday, and
yet it still managed to close higher today.

I'm really looking forward to next week. Intel
      reports Tuesday.
January is a great month to be in
      the techs.
