"Sales for the 2010 fourth fiscal quarter were $73,163,000, up 30% from the prior quarter. Net income for the quarter was $14,116,000, or $0.09 per diluted share on a GAAP basis. Excluding the net impact of special items totaling $378,000, and amortization of purchased intangible assets of $2,664,000, the net income for the quarter was $17,158,000, or $0.11 per diluted share on a non-GAAP basis."
So, could you please tell me which is the one generally used? is it 0.09 or 0.11?
If you are looking to compare the consensus estimates on Yahoo, you need to be looking at the Non-GAAP earnings, which is 11 cents and so they beat by 1 cent.
Cash + Marketable securities have increased to $93.5 Million this quarter from $75.5 Million last quarter and this is pretty impressive net addition of $18 Million. Net debt is only at $0.8 Million.
Adjusting Net Income with changes in Current assets and liabilities, leads to an operating cash flow of $13.9 Mill. Add depreciation and amortisation of roughly $6 Million and (non-cash) stock compensation costs of $1 mill (both based on last 2 quarters' numbers), we have Cash from Operating activities of around $21 Million this quarter. There may be some more numbers that I could've missed out as I don't have the detailed breakup of numbers and so there could a little bit of a discrepancy with this number.
All in all, a great quarter and the guidance is still pretty good, inspite of all the headwinds, is impressive.
The stock is down pre-market and this is keeping in tune with the recent ignorance by the market, of excellent results from semi companies. We are still looking at some strong economic headwinds and my take is that we might struggle for the next couple of months, but we will rally strongly come November/December.
