Due to my company's policy I can't buy and sell within 60 days of trading. So I'm still in, I think the long term reward will be good, obviously they need to write more business but still profitable and BV is increasing, but I can see this stock lagging for a little while.
Generally earnings were good. Investment portfolio gains subsidised lower net premiums, so there is still some way to go to, but things are looking positive. My one concern is what they are re-insuring as there has been a large increase in this.
As for the move to Ireland vs Switzerland, I dont see it as anything of significance. Ireland offers attractive tax rates and is probably less at risk of any clampdown on offshore businesses than Switzerland (I'm thinking about UBS issues)
I'm somewhat surprised the market hasnt reacted more positively to earnings report. This might be a slow burner.
