What triggered the market going flat?

Was this a conspiratorial act against the President of the U.S.? Now, who would the likely suspects be? Can the SEC shed some light on this, or are American taxpayers suppose to get over this, too?

    • Simple. Because there isn't any reason for it to move higher, and closing near flat was the best HAL and co. could do.

I can't wait to hear ol Bob and Maria, In this, or a similar scenario:

"Well, ya know Bob, we've had a fantastic run these last few months, and Nobody expected September and October to be so upbeat. Look, we're up 10% or more in just a few weeks; a little pullback is healthy, so we can move even higher in 2011."

"You're right, Maria. We really need this Breather, and then we'll all be ready for when Santa Clause Comes to Town."

(Sidenote) Isn't Bob P. Jewish? So why would he be waitin' for Santa Clause?
